The Zeemeeuw history

Her sturdy appearance reveals the purpose for which the Zeemeeuw was built in 1924 – to master the rough waters of Northern Europe. This unique lugger was restored and began sailing as a passenger ship in 1990.

Aboard the Zeemeeuw, there is a perfect balance between high comfort and a classic ‘nautical’ interior. Her attractive interior is perfect for meetings and courses, or simply for enjoyable relaxation in the evening after a day of sailing.
Sailing trips start from the home port of Harlingen, and the ship puts into a different port every evening, ranging from picturesque the IJsselmeer towns to rugged Frisian islands.
