Information

Sailing on “your own” ship with a crew is a real journey of discovery.

Each night, you’ll be staying in a different place: on one of the beautiful islands of the Wadden Estuary, a unique protected nature area with a very rich bird and marine life including seals, and many different species of migratory birds. The Wadden Estuary recently acquired the status of Unesco World Heritage Site.

The islands have long stretches of sandy beaches, large dunes, extensive pine forests and pretty little towns, which have a vibrant nightlife. Or you are staying in one of the quaint but vibrant ports and fishing towns, which dot the shores of the IJsselmeer, the largest lake of Holland. The IJsselmeer used to be a sea called the Southern Sea or Zuiderzee, before the Dutch dammed it, and turned it into a huge lake. And there are also nights you’ll be spending out in the open seas, where the swell of the sea will rock you to sleep in our cosy cabins.

A (mid) week sailing trip with the Zeemeeuwis a guaranteed adventure with fun and freedom. Cooking meals together in the well-equipped galley, partying in the club on the island of Terschelling or letting the ship fall dry during low tide right in the centre of a shallow sea!

You will experience it all. It truly is an unforgettable experience, both at sea and ashore, and you can be sure your friends will be talking about this trip for a long time.
